Yes! You can rent bikes for multiple days. If you’re renting an e-bike, we’ll provide a charger. Book online or email us at support@beachsidebikerental.com for long-term rental quotes.

Yes, but an additional fee applies to cover transportation back to the original location.

The fee varies depending on the number of bikes rented. Drop-offs at a different store are accommodated on a case-by-case basis and require at least one week’s notice. Please email support@beachsidebikerental.com to confirm whether we can accommodate your request.

Yes, with a parent or guardian’s signed waiver. Riders under 18 are legally required to wear a helmet at all times.

Yes—for riders under 18, helmets are legally required on public streets, paths, and trails in California. Riders 18+ are not required to wear one by law, but we strongly recommend it. Helmets are included with every rental.

Not at all! If you’re comfortable on a regular bike, you’ll do great on an e-bike. It rides just like a cruiser—with a little extra boost.
Yes! Most of the beach bike path is open to bikes. However, in high pedestrian areas—like the Santa Monica, Hermosa, or Manhattan Beach piers—please walk your bike or follow posted signage.

Santa Monica: We are located at the End of Bay Street by the roundabout.

  • Street parking on Bay St. & Ocean Ave ($2.50/hr)
  • We recommend parking at the public lot next to us ($10–$15 all day, varies by season)

Manhattan Beach: We are located at 3616 Highland Ave.

  • There is street parking on Highland Ave & Rosecrans ($2.50/hr)
  • We recommend parking at the public lot across our building ($2.50/hr)

Redondo Beach: We are located at 1611 S. Catalina Ave.

  • There is street parking all around the shop ($2.50/hr)
  • Underground parking available for free to our customers

Marina del Rey: We are located at 13723 Fiji Way Ste B01.

  • Parking is available on-site for $2 for up to 2 hours, $4 for 2–4 hours, with a daily maximum of $8.
We offer optional damage and theft insurance with all rentals. It covers 100% of mechanical damage (flat tires, damaged chains, broken pedals), but does not cover electrical components like the motor or battery. In case of theft, insurance covers 50% of the bike’s wholesale value.
  • $3 for a single rider
  • $5 for groups of 2–3
  • $10 for groups of 4 or more
  • E-bikes are insured individually at $5 each
  • More than 72 hours in advance: Full refund
  • 24 to 72 hours in advance: 50% refund
  • Less than 24 hours: No refund

If weather prevents riding:

  • Out-of-state guests receive a full refund or credit
  • Local guests receive store credit for a future visit
